Exceptional sportsmanship and tireless work ethic.
Academic Accomplishments:  maintained a 4.0 GPA while balancing rigorous coursework and college-level courses.
Rickie's impact extended beyond the field and the classroom; he was very active in the community, serving as a positive role model for others.  A true leader, his desire to make a difference in the lives of others set him apart.  He demonstrated what it meant to be a true leader, not just in athletics, but his love for his team, family and community.  Rickie's influence on the City of Norton and to the Raider Community is profound and lasting.  The phrase "What Would Rickie Do?" is still a guiding principle for current Raiders, a testament to the impact he made during his short time at John I. Burton.  Rickie's love for his family and his love for Christ was always very present.
