The John I. Burton High School Hall of Fame, The Order of the Shield and Sword, was organized to recognize and honor athletes, coaches, and contributors to all John I. Burton High School Competitive programs. 

 

The criteria is as follows:

-Honor the contributions and accomplishments of those individuals who are worthy of   recognition as examples for others to emulate.

​

-Establish in our youth a motivating influence to excel in athletics and activities, as well as,   in our community.

​

-Encourage pride, promote good sportsmanship, scholarship, and citizenship in our school   and community.

​

-Promote a Raider tradition of “Commitment to Excellence.”
